POS-n-go Online Store Manual
The POS-n-go online store allows you to sell your products using a fully integrated and customized shopping cart. The online store uses the latest responsive layout technology to provide your customers with a streamlined checkout experience on mobile, tablet and PC devices. Your existing categories and products are leveraged and sale transactions are included in our extensive set of reports.
You may customize the colors used for all key aspects of the online store, add your business logo, optional rotating front page banners, front page featured items and unlimited custom pages to get your message out. You may choose to sell all your products online or only a selected subset. Products are presented with an unlimited number of zoomable pictures and a brief description. An optional detailed description can be provided. Support for your existing product modifiers and upcharges is supported.
Shipping can be fully customized for free shipping, fixed amount shipping with minimum and maximum thresholds or real-time Canada Post shipping estimates based on product dimensions and weights. Canada Post shipping estimates require you to open a no cost Canada Post online account. More information can be found at canadapost.ca.
Payments can be handled directly in the online store using Stripe for PCI compliant processing or handled in store. When Stripe is used you have an opportunity to review the order, void it, or process the pre-approved payment with a single action. Stripe payments require you to open a no cost Stripe online account. More information can be found at stripe.com.
Your online store can be accessed through the posngo.com/shop/ domain or you can optionally purchase your own custom domain name such as mybusiness.com. Please open a support ticket to start this process.
The Active checkbox allows you to enable or disable the entire online store site.
The URL field is the location of your site at posngo.com. You can optionally purchase a custom domain name that links to this location.
The Store Name field is the name of your online store site.
The Logo Image field is where you select the image to use for your online store. You must first upload it in the Online Store, Logo & Images section.
The Banner Images allows you to optionally select images to be used for a rotating banner on the home page of your site. On a PC hold the Control key to select multiple images. You must first upload the images in the Online Store, Logo & Images section.
The Banner Text allows you to optionally add text on top of the rotating banner images. Text for each image is on a separate line and in the same order as the image files listed above.
Product Search displays a search box at the top of the page to search for products with a matching name or description.
Product Special Instructions
Product Special Instructions allows the customer to add a special instruction for the item that they are buying.
Phone Number is used to obtain the customers phone number during the checkout process.
Billing Address is used to obtain the customers billing address during the checkout process.
Shipping Address is used to obtain the customers shipping address during the checkout process.
BookNet Canada Attribution
If you list books in the online store and the book information was retrieved from BookNet Canada then you must enable the attribution per the BookNet Canada terms of service.
This optional text message is displayed at the top of every page.
This optional URL should point to your Instagram account. Example https://www.instagram.com/posngo/
This optional URL should point to your Facebook account. Example https://www.facebook.com/pos.n.go.canada
Top Level Category
Top Level Category allows you to select a top level category for your online store. The default is to use all your parent categories. Use this if you would like your online site to have a subset of categories.
The online store menu supports an unlimited number of parent categories and one level of unlimited child categories for each parent. Only these two levels are visible even if your child categories have another level of child categories belonging to them for in store.
No Shipping - Select this mode when you do not charge for shipping.
Fixed Amount - Select this mode when you have a fixed shipping price. You must configure the Fixed Shipping Amount setting and select a Shipping Revenue Product to track the shipping revenue against.
Canada Post Estimate - Select this mode for a real-time estimate from Canada Post for shipping based on the product dimensions, the shipping postal cost and the destination postal code. You must configure your Canada Post Account Number and your Postal Code. You must also select a Shipping Revenue Product to track the shipping revenue against.
Shipping Revenue Product
Shipping Revenue Product is a mandatory field for Fixed Amount and Canada Post Estimate shipping modes. The product selected is used to track shipping revenue against it.
Fixed Shipping Amount
Fixed Shipping Amount is the amount charged when the Fixed Amount Shipping mode is selected.
Cart Minimum controls when the fixed shipping amount is applied to an order. If not provided the shipping is charged starting at zero.
Cart Maximum determines the maximum order amount to apply the fixed shipping amount to. Configure this setting if you provide free shipping above a certain order amount.
Shipping Account Number
Shiping Account Number your Canada Post Account Number and is mandatory for the Canada Post Estimate mode. You can obtain this through your Canada Post online account.
Shipping From Postal Code
Shipping From Postal Code is the postal code that you will ship from. It is mandatory for the Canada Post Estimate mode.
No Payment - Select this mode if you process payments in store or through a different payment method.
Stripe - Select this mode to process payments through Stripe for online store orders. You must configure the Currency and Credentials settings.
Elavon - Select this mode to process payments through Elavon for online store orders. You must configure the Currency and Credentials settings.
Currency is the currency used to process payments.
Stripe = This is your PublicKey,SecretKey. You can obtain this through your Stripe online account, Developers, API Keys.
Elavon = This is your MerchantID,Account,SharedSecret.
Styling allows you to custom brand the online site colors.
Once you have configured your online store this section will be displayed with a button to open your site. You may provide the address of your site to your customers. Optionally you may purchase a custom domain name. Please open a support ticket to start this process.
