Customer Management

  • The customer management system can be disabled or configured to Reference or Customer modes.
  • If it is disabled the customer prompt will not be displayed.
  • If it is configured for Reference then a customer name can be entered.
  • If it is configured for Customer then the customer database is used.

Reference

  • The reference option is designed for restaurants where a name, number or other identifer is used.
  • The reference is prompted for when a NEW order is created.
  • The reference can be updated by long pressing on an order on the orders screen.
  • The reference is printed on the order printer slips.

Customer

  • The customer option stores customer information on the web portal.
  • The customer information includes name, phone number, email address and notes.
  • The options to SKIP, NEW CUSTOMER and FIND CUSTOMER are presented when a NEW order is created.
  • The SKIP option will not associate a customer to the new order.
  • The NEW CUSTOMER option will prompt to create a new customer and associate it to the new order.
  • The FIND CUSTOMER option will prompt to find an existing customer and associate it to the new order.
  • The customer association can be changed by long pressing on an order on the orders screen.

  • The Customer Name is for the customer first and last name.
  • The Customer Phone is a configurable length number used to store the phone number.
  • The Customer Email is for the customer email address. It is used for email receipts and campaigns.
  • The Customer Alert will display an alert message on the device when the customer profile is accessed.
  • The Customer Note is an unlimited length, multi-line text area to store optional customer information.

  • Finding customers can be done by partial match on the Customer Name or the Customer Phone.

  • The MORE button will display the customer level functions.

Customer Functions

  • The HISTORY button will display recent orders with individual order details for each.
  • The BILLING ADDRESS button will display the customer billing address.
  • The SHIPPING ADDRESS button will display the customer shipping address.
  • The DELIVER button will send a delivery request to the configured delivery service.
  • The PICTURE button will display pictures associated to the customer.
